Many years ago travelers found that Niagara on the Lake offers a quiet respite from the crowds and traffic jams in the Falls area. The Town Cottage is a  perfect place to use as a base and enjoy the many attractions in a peaceful setting locked in history.

But Niagara on the lake has it own very special charms.

Over 70 wineries are within a short distance of town. All have tasting rooms and some offer excellent restaurants.


Don’t overlook the beauty of the shore line just a block away at Queens Royal Park. This park is situated at the point the mighty Niagara River flows into Lake Ontario. Toronto can often be seen from the park 32 miles away. The river offers many attractions as well such as the world famous, exciting, Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours The Niagara Parkway – called Canada’s prettiest drive- has pathways that follow the Niagara River as it flows from the Falls and the whirlpool.
