Cycling in Niagara

The Niagara region is a perfect location for a cycling holiday. There is so much to see from your bike and sites include: Niagara Falls; the beautiful Niagara Parkway; over 70 local wineries; Fort George, The Welland Canal and of course, historic old town Niagara on the Lake.

Cycling paths abound. Many are connected to form the 100 mile Greater Niagara Circle Route (  These paths start in town just a block from Most of the Greater Circle Route is off road and along quiet paved trails.

Cycle along the Welland Canal. Part of the Greater Niagara Circle Route follows the Welland Canal Parkway and Trail. Ride alongside mighty ocean going ships as they negotiate the canal and locks traveling over the escarpment between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario .

Leisurely Biking

Bring your bikes or rent from Zoom ( Explore the historic sites of Old Town Niagara on the Lake. Travel the paved pathway to Queenston Heights ( and on to Niagara Falls only 18 k away. The Town Cottage is adjacent to the paved path ways and bike routes are available at the cottage.
